Alberta Nettie Griffith

Alberta Nettie Griffith, 79, a resident of North Bennington died peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. She was the widow of the late Alfred M. Griffith.

Born on July 25th, 1936 in Malone, New York, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lamica and Nettie (Recore) Lamica.

Alberta received her education in the Malone school system. She worked in the healthcare field in homes in Florida and Massachusetts. She was a member of the Green Mountain Christian Center in Bennington and she enjoyed puzzles, knitting, crochet, and crafts.

Survivors include six children: Gordon (Cheryl) Hickey of Prescott, Michigan, Howard Hickey of Prudenville, Michigan, Pastor David (Mary) Hickey of Bennington, Vermont, Mathew (Kathieline) Hickey of North Bennington, Alfred (Dawn) Hickey of Bennington and Julie Hickey of Copperas Cove, Texas; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Percey (Carol) Lamica of Southbridge, Massachusetts, a sister Betty Jean (John) Soccia of New York and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Alberta will be held from the Green Mountain Christian Center on Saturday, May 7th, 2016 at 11:00 AM.

Friends may call at the church on that day from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will take place at the Hinsdillville Cemetery in North Bennington.
