Adam Carl LeMay of West Sandgate died unexpectedly on March 22, 2024 at the home he shared with his parents. Adam died by his own hand after years of struggle with anxiety, depression, and alcohol. He was 30 years old. Adam was born at the Bellevue Women's Hospital in Niskayuna, NY on December 15, 1993, to his birth mother, Joan Ratcliffe, and his birth father, Anthony Giarrusso. Adam came home to his adoptive family when he was six days old. He was raised along with his sister Emma LeMay by their adoptive parents, Elizabeth and John LeMay. He was a graduate of Burr and Burton Academy. Adam was a loving and much-loved person as a child and as a man. He was a handyman, skier, and fisherman. He liked to read and do home maintenance and improvement. He never forgot people and never held a grudge. He was a good worker and was employed at various times in the hotel industry, The Home Depot, and local custodial services. Adam is also survived by his aunt and uncle Louise and David Dauenheimer of Mendham, NJ, and their son Carl. He also leaves behind his aunt and uncle Anne and Randy Ross of Center Cambridge, NY and their grown children: Matthew, Bonnie and Kristoffer. He leaves his aunt and uncle, Leslie LeMay and Howard Tunick of Essex, CT. Adam also leaves many other relatives, in both his birth and adoptive families as well as our good neighbor Jean, with whom he had a special friendship. Lastly, he leaves his furry companions: Kiara, Jake and Boots. A memorial service for Adam will be held on May 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Sandgate United Methodist Church in Sandgate, VT.
