Linda K. Corey, 72, a resident of Crossover Road, Bennington, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness.

In addition to her family, Linda loved her coffee ice cream, pets, and being outside. She loved walks on the mountain and valued family heirlooms. She enjoyed gardening from herbs to vegetables to a variety of flowering plants.

She was a strong, independent woman and at the same time was caring, nurturing, and had a unique sense of humor. She had strong connections with all of her children and played a pivotal role for her grandchildren. She wanted them to discover what made them happy and live happy lives.

She was welcoming and supportive to anyone who needed help, advice or a good kitchen chat.

She is survived by Donald J. Corey, her husband of 50+ years; three children, Heidi Vorian, her husband Leo, and their daughter, Lily of Sarasota, Florida; Kimberly Corey and her daughter Emma of Strafford, NH; and her son DJ Corey, his wife Kay and their children, Joe and Stephanie of Bennington, VT; a sister, Gale Wisher of Bennington and a brother, Mirle Cross of Stoddard, NH and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside committal services celebrating Linda's life will be held at the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
