My family deeply loved Willie Mae, so sorry to read of her passing. One of our favorite memories is one day she came down the street to get some help as we only lived a couple houses down and opposite side of street from her. Willie Mae was carrying what looked like a wine bottle. Her words to my husband were “I need a man”. What she had was a bottle with a bread mix in it and why she needed a man was she needed helped opening it. The phrase “I need a man” has made us laugh many times over the years. Dear Hoyt family please accept my heart felt condolences. Your mom was a huge part of my childhood. I have so many beautiful memories of staying at your house when me and my brother were kids . Your mom and my grandmother would be doting over us whenever we stayed over . I will always remember her as a beautiful and kind soul.. I cherish the memories she gave to me.and know how deeply she will be missed by all of you love to all of you. Richard Dellagiacoma

I was saddened to read of Willie Mae's passing. I always liked to hear her Texas accent! She always had a big smile and a friendly word. Last time I saw her was at the Veterans Home... May she rest in peace, my prayers are with all of you. Joyce Scarey (Rita Hoyts sister-in-law)
