The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Robert Dross can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Pamela Goodwin
Condolence: My condolences to the families and friends of Robert Dross.
May you find comfort from the scriptures during this time period in 1Corth. 15:26,"The last enemy death is to be brought to nothing." Also to know that Jehovah promise at Is. 41:13,"For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, The One saying to you, `Do not be afraid. I will help you.` " JW.ORG

Condolence: I worked with Robert during his time at Southern Vermont College. Such a nice young man with a bright future! Robert was very kind. He had a great smile and he genuinely enjoyed the learning process. Robert was well-liked by both his professors and fellow students. During our many chats, Robert always gave me his full attention. As this behavior is not always found to be the case with young people, I recall complimenting him on his good manners - to which he gave his mother the credit for 'raising him right'! Robert was especially proud of his role as a volunteer firefighter for his hometown. Here again, he gave of himself, to help out others in their time of need. Indeed, Robert Dross was a wonderful fellow... and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I will pray for your strength during this most difficult time and trust that memories of happier days with Robert will serve as comfort to you.

Condolence: Our Condolences go out to his Family and Friends. He will be dearly missed. My oldest son, who went to MAUHS with him, had introduced me to him. Everytime I would run into Robert at Hannaford we used to chat for a little bit and my 2 little ones would chat with him as well. I missed seeing him at Hannaford for a while now and the little ones and I have been wondering how he was doing. Rest in Peace Robert.

Condolence From: Debora Bailey
Condolence: My heart goes out to the Dross family and friends of Robert in your time of sorrow. I know Robert has left you with many precious memories from his 21 way too short years with you all. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Jesus with the help of Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) God promises the only one who does not lie (Titus1:2) that we will see Robert and our loved ones again by means of a resurrection (John 5:28, 29). I hope the Dross family will find some comfort and strength in Jesus promise of the earthly resurrection. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The Dross family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. For more comforting and encouraging scriptures on the resurrection, please visit jw.org.

Condolence: Robert was involved in Special Olympics for a number of years, where we had the pleasure of watching him develop into a superb athlete in several sports. He was generous with his laughter and his sense of humor touched everyone. He was caring and sharing. We have lost a free spirit. Our thoughts are with his family

Condolence: So very sorry to hear of the tragic loss of Robert. I worked with him a very short while at Carbone and he was a great kid. He was always willing to lend a hand and had a smile on his face that seemed to last all day. I only wish I had more time to get to know him better. I will truly miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. God bless.
