Edward C. Sausville, 75, a resident Route 22 in Petersburg, NY died Sunday January 21, 2018 at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.
He was born in Bennington, VT January 6, 1943. He was the son of the late Charles and Adeline (Rousseau) Sausville. He received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Sacred Heart School.
In earlier years Ed was a manager at Thomson Manufacturing in Bennington. He later worked as a carpenter and most recently at Price Chopper in Bennington.
Ed enjoyed fishing and hunting, playing cards, especially poker and going to casinos. He was a pool shark and had once played in a pool tournament in Las Vegas against “Minnesota Fats”. He was an avid NASCAR and New York Giant fan.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Brownell of Petersburg, NY, Lisa Biddle of Bennington, VT and Patti Alberts of Fonda, NY; Five grandchildren, Matthew Brownell, Ashley Sweet, Kaleigh Biddle, Karlin Alberts and Jarod Alberts. A special niece, Wendy Sausville of Bennington. He was pre-deceased by a brother Robert Sausville.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
