Obituary for Stuart Goss

Stuart N. Goss, 73, a resident of Morgan St. in Bennington died Sunday January 7, 2017 at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness.

He was born in Rome, New York February 13, 1944. He was the son of the late Norman B. Goss and Karina (Thompson) Goss. Stuart received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington High School. He later attended the Putnam School of Nursing.

Stuart was self employed as a private duty nurse.

Stuart served three tours of duty during Vietnam in the United State Marine Corp, Navy and Army.

He was a former member of the American Legion Post #13 and was a member of the VFW Post 1332 and the Bennington Eagles.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping.

Survivors include his fiancé, Roxanna Cardinal of Bennington. Three sons, Jeffrey Goss of Shaftsbury, Jarrod Goss and his wife Caroline of Buskirk, NY and Stuart Goss, Jr. of Pownal, VT. Two grandchildren, Brittany and Colby Goss. His nieces and nephews, Judy, Norman, Pete, Nicholas, Anna, Luke, Karina and Natasha.

A graveside service with military honors will be offered in the spring at Park Lawn Cemetery where Mr. Goss will be buried with his parents.
